This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Richard Miller who was born in Ohio on July 29, 1931 and passed away on November 12, 2005 at the age of 74. We will remember him forever. Dad was a hard working man who loved his family very much.He served in the Korean war. He showed horses for many years,That was one of his loves. He was one of nine children,Being next to the oldest. He and Mom were married on Oct.15,1954.They had 6 children. Dad become ill in 2001 with an Anurysum. He had that repaired and had a few surguries after that.in Summer of 2005 He had another Anurysum, and become very ill. He lost his fight on Nov.12,2005,Devastating all of us.He was a wonderful father,Grandfather, and husband. You couldnt ask for a better dad.He didnt show his emotions alot but we knew he loved us all.Mom was so lonely after we lost dad. Mom was one of two children, she was born on April 26,1937.She has a sister Marlene who she would go to Las Vegas with Every year. She would come home and complain how marlene always won and mom always lost. She was so funny.Mom loved to bowl, she had so many friends that she had from kindergarden that she kept in touch with .After Dad got sick mom took such good care of dad until he got so sick she couldnt any more.On Sept.30,2007 mom fell and hurt her back. She went to the hospital and found out she had cancer in her lungs, liver and spine. We were told she had a good 6 months to live. She went to live with my brother Rick and his fiancee Tammy. We went everyday to see her. We never expected to lose her so fast.We lost Mom on Dec.12 2007,Less than 5 weeks after finding out she had cancer and Exactly 25 months after Dad. Our world is so lonely and lost without the two of them,The only comfort we have is Knowing they are together at Last. they will always be in our hearts and we will remember them forever.I love you and miss you both. Until we meet again. So this site is for both My mom And my Dad.
Time slips through fingers way too fast
No matter how hard we try to grasp
Like water slipping through the cracks
It feels like just yesterday we said hello
And already goodbye has come upon us Like a dance
All we can do is hold onto the memories That I wish could last Like a child grasps onto their past
Goodbye is a word that lasts forever That causes swift hellos to come Which I hope is not what happens with us
So farewell And good luck in all you do Always remember I am somehow with you
God made a wonderful mother, A mother who never grows old; He made her smile of the sunshine, And He moulded her heart of pure gold; In her eyes He placed bright shining stars, In her cheeks fair roses you see; God made a wonderful mother, And He gave that dear mother to me.
Miss Me - But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room, Why cry for a soul set free.
Miss me a little, but not too long, And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared, Miss me, but let me go.
For this journey that we all must take, And each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan, a step on the road to home.
When we are lonely and sick at heart, Go to the friends we know, And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds, Miss me, but let me go.
To Mom and Dad,
I will keep you memory
alive forever.
you were the best parents
anyone could ask for.
love you both,miss you both.
Kindra
When I am gone, release me, let me go.
I have so many things to see and do,
You mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears,
But be thankful we had so many good years.
I gave you my love, and you can only guess
How much you've given me in happiness.
I thank you for the love that you have shown,
But now it is time I traveled on alone.
So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust
That it is only for a while that we must part,
So treasure the memories within your heart.
I won't be far away for life goes on.
And if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me, I will be near
And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear
All my love around you soft and clear
And then, when you come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile and a "Welcome Home".
We miss you now, our hearts are sore
As time goes by we miss you more
Your loving smile, your gentle face
No one can fill your vacant place.
Things I feel most deeply,
Are the hardest things to say,
My dearest one, I loved you,
In a very special way.
If I could have one lifetime wish,
One dream that would come true,
I'd pray to God with all my heart,
For yesterday and you.
Remember me when flowers bloom
Early in the spring
Remember me on sunny days
In the fun that summer brings
Remember me in the fall
As you walk through the leaves of gold
And in the wintertime - remember me
In the stories that are told
But most of all remember
Each day - right from the start
I will be forever near
For I live within your heart
THE BROKEN CHAIN
We little knew that morning that God was going to all your name,
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
--Author Unknown
We miss her love and cheery ways;
With her we spent our happiest days.
In memory we see her the same;
As long as we live, we'll cherish her name
Heaven's gate swung gently open,
The Master called softly, "Come,"
And you, dear one, took the Master's hand,
And your work on earth was done.
We'll never cease to miss you,
And shed many silent tears,
Because we cannot share with you
Our hopes, our joys, our fears.
But one day, in God's garden,
When the Master calls us to come.
You'll be at the gates with open arms
And say to us, "Welcome Home!:
Broken is our family circle,
Our dear one is passed away,
Passed from earth and earthly darkness,
Into bright and perfect day;
But we all must cease to languish,
O'er the grave of him we love,
Strive to be prepared to meet him,
In the better world above.

Today's the day we stop and pray a Tribute to Your Lives You lived hard lives full of strife but - L I V E D ! you did - with heads held high
Little did you know little did you realize The difference you did make while you were alive
Thank God you came before us first you left me a better place For the world is not the world it was it's now the world you've made
I pray that some Memorial Day they'll think the same of us For you have taught us well my friends I hope we'll be as Just
Thank you for your dreams and pain persistence, sweat, work and games Thanks for being all you were defeating odds and conquerors
Thanks for all you learned and taught for passing on your hopes and thoughts Thank you for being just who you were a man, a woman - an individual
Thank you so much for all you've done you've earned your rest, it's now our Turn We owe the life we have to you I only wish we could share it to
Now we must do as you have done take hold the baton and make the run I hope we make you as proud of us and not give up when things get tough
For someday we will be with you and those we leave behind will to Take charge from when our time is done when God has said, "It's now their Turn."
Beside your grave I often stand
With heart both crushed and sore,
Silent till the sweet words come,
"Not lost, but gone before."
God knows how much I miss you,
He counts the tears I shed,
And whispers "He only sleeps,
Your loved one is not dead."
So I'll be brave dear Mom and Dad
And pray to God each day,
And when He calls me home to you,
Your smile will guide the way
In tears we saw you sinking,
We watched you fade away.
Our hearts were almost broken,
You fought so hard to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping,
So peacefully free from pain.
We could not wish you back dad
To suffer that again.
Every day, in some small way,
Memories of you come our way.
Though absent, you are ever near,
Still missed, still loved, and ever dear.
YOU HOLD A PLACE INSIDE MY HEART NO ONE ELSE CAN EVER FILL,
I LOVE YOU MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY AND I FOREVER WILL.
TIME WON'T EVER ERASE THE MEMORIES AND ALL THE THOUGHTS OF YOU, FOR YOU'LL ALWAYS BE MY ANGEL AND MY LOVE WILL STAY FOREVER TRUE.
I MISS YOUSO VERY MUCH...MORE THAN ANY WORDS CAN EVER SAY,
AND I 'LL KEEP YOU CLOSE TO MY HEART EACH AND EVERYDAY!
EACH NIGHT AS I LIE DOWN TO SLEEP AND A TEAR FALLS FROM MY EYES,
KNOW I'M THINKING OF YOU AND THIS WILL NEVER BE GOOD-BYE
LOVE,THE HURT CAN TAKE CONTROL,
FOR THE ONES STILL LEFT BEHIND NEED US MORE THAN WE MAY KNOW.
WE MUST SEE THAT LIFE MUST GO ON AS HARD AS IT MAY BE,
WE DON'T MEAN TO LOSE SIGHT OF WHAT WE STILL HAVE & ACT UNSELFISHLY.
OUR ANGELS ALTHOUGH IN HEAVEN WILL REMAIN FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS,
NOTHING CAN TAKE AWAY OUR LOVE FOR THEM ALTHOUGH IT SEEMS WE'RE FAR APART.
WE'RE ALL BLESSED IN CERTAIN WAYS AND MUCH STRONGER THAN WE EVER THOUGHT,FOR GOD CHOSE US TO HAVE AN ANGEL AND THERE'S MANY THINGS WE'VE ALL BEEN TAUGHT.
SOME PEOPLE ONLY DREAM OF ANGELS BUT WE ALL HOLD ONE IN OUR HEART,
WE'LL LOVE THEM JUST THE SAME FOREVER AS WE DID RIGHT FROM THE START!
Dad...so many images come to mind whenever I speak your name; It seems without you in my life things have never been the same.
What happened to those lazy days when I was just a child; When my life was consumed in you in your love, and in your smile.
What happened to all those times when I always looked to you; No matter what happened in my life you could make my gray skies blue.
Dad, some days I hear your voice and turn to see your face; Yet in my turning...it seems the sound has been erased.
Dad, who will I turn to for answers when life does not make sense; Who will be there to hold me close when the pieces just don't fit.
Oh, Dad, if I could turn back time and once more hear your voice; I'd tell you that out of all the dads you would still be my choice.
Please always know I love you and no one can take your place; Years may come and go but your memory will never be erased.
Today, Jesus, as You are listening in your home above; Would you go and find my dad and give him all my love.
IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE THAT YOU'RE GONE...AN ANGEL TOOK YOUR HAND THAT DAY,I KNOW GOD NEEDED YOU TO EARN YOUR WINGS,BUT WE WANTED YOU TO STAY.THERE WILL ALWAYS BE AN EMPTINESS NOT HAVING YOU BY OUR SIDE,YOU WERE THE ONE IN WHOM WE KNEW WE COULD ALWAYS CONFIDE. I KNOW WE'LL MEET AGAIN SOMEDAY AND WE'LL TRY TO HOLD ON TIL' THEN,JUST BECAUSE YOU WENT TO HEAVEN,WE KNOW IT'S NOT THE END.PLEASE WRAP US IN YOUR LOVELY WINGS & LET US FEEL YOU NEAR EACH DAY,AND KNOW YOU HOLD A SPECIAL PLACE IN OUR HEARTS WHERE YOU'LL FOREVER STAY!
WHEN WE LOSE SOMEONE WE DEARLY LOVE,THE HURT CAN TAKE CONTROL, FOR THE ONES STILL LEFT BEHIND NEED US MORE THAN WE MAY KNOW. WE MUST SEE THAT LIFE MUST GO ON AS HARD AS IT MAY BE, WE DON'T MEAN TO LOSE SIGHT OF WHAT WE STILL HAVE & ACT UNSELFISHLY.
